Subject: Fight smears against the New Kadampa Tradition
Message: Friend -- You may have heard that Geshe Kelsang was expelled from his monastery. In 1996, Fifteen abbots and teachers from Sera Je Monastery wrote an open letter against Geshe Gyatso, excluded him from the community of the monastery and named him an “apostate”. The reason for this action was Geshe Kelsang's outspoken criticism against the Dalai Lama's ban of Dorje Shugden. This allegation is part of a smear campaign to discredit Geshe Kelsang and the New Kadampa Tradition. Learn more about this and other smears and help push back with the truth: Together we can make sure these negative and divisive attacks don't harm this beautiful Buddhist tradition. Thanks for your help.
